Hi, I’m Liz!

Welcome! I started baked imperfections in November 2021 because I was craving a creative outlet and decided that cookies are the best, most delicious medium. Although decorating is kinda new to me, I’m a lifelong amateur baker. I have so many fond childhood memories of baking in the kitchen with family and friends.

My creations are often described as beautiful works of art. I’m so proud of that sentiment, but what makes me even prouder are the tiny imperfections in each of my creations. The creative process is imperfect in the most wonderful way. Some of my best designs have originated from a “mistake”! Every time I take an order, I’m reminded of three very important things: to just start, to trust the process, and to embrace imperfection. If I follow those three golden rules, I know I’ll be happy with the finished product (and you will too!).

P.S. please always eat the cookies— they taste as good as they look ;)

  • Fun Fact #1

I worked at the Penn State Bakery while I was a student at Penn State University and picked up some basic decorating skills during my time there.

  • Fun Fact #2

    My favorite color is……..any guesses???

    pink :)

  • Fun Fact #3

I married my spouse twice! We had a small “covid” ceremony on the beach in Sea Isle City and then a bigger wedding in Pittsburgh a little over a year later. We joke that the first wedding was my wedding and the second was his. Small and intimate is more my vibe.

  • Fun Fact #4

I listen to music, audiobooks, and podcasts while I’m decorating for hours on end. Some of my favorite musical artists are Matt Nathanson, Taylor Swift, Bleachers, Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Kasey Musgraves. There’s a tribute to one of these folks on my website. Can you find it??

  • Fun Fact #5

I am a runner, indoor cyclist, and overall movement enthusiast. I recently bought my first pair of roller skates. I haven’t owned a pair since I was a kid, so I’m excited to get back out there!

  • Fun Fact #6

My family calls me by the name Puddy, short for Pudding Pie. My Pop-pop affectionately gave me the nickname when I was a baby and it stuck!
